Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2025

Studio Era is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

1. Who We Are

Studio Era is a women’s fitness and lifestyle service that helps you train, nourish, and transform your body — all from your phone. We provide structured workout programs, meal guidance, and community support through our mobile app and online platforms.

Studio Era is owned and operated by Madelaine Rascan (ABN 59 951 646 086), a registered sole trader business in Australia.

You can contact us at support@studioera.co for any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your personal data is handled.

Our mobile app is delivered through a technology partner, FitBudd Inc. While Studio Era manages your coaching, content, and community experience, FitBudd is responsible for certain technical and security aspects of the app — including account infrastructure and data storage.

You can review FitBudd’s privacy practices at: https://www.fitbudd.com/privacy-policy

2. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to any personal information collected by Studio Era through:

  • Our website, forms, and communications

  • The Studio Era app (delivered through our technology partner, FitBudd Inc.)

  • Optional challenge submissions or transformation entries

  • Third-party tools we use to manage and deliver services (e.g. Typeform, Airtable, Zapier, and ActiveCampaign)

This policy explains:

  • What personal data we collect

  • How we use it

  • Where it’s stored or shared

  • What rights you have around access, deletion, and privacy

Please note: while Studio Era is your fitness provider, the app platform is operated by FitBudd Inc., who may also collect and store some of your information. You can view their privacy policy here: https://www.fitbudd.com/privacy-policy

3. What Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide directly:

  • Your name, email address, and contact details

  • Payment and subscription information (if purchased through our website via Stripe)

  • Messages or support requests sent to our team

Information collected through the Studio Era app (via FitBudd):

  • Age, height, weight, and body measurements

  • Progress photos

  • Workout history, nutrition tracking, and check-ins

  • Login activity and device type

This information is stored and managed by FitBudd, our app platform provider. We may access it to help with support, review progress (e.g. during challenges), and make general program recommendations. We do not store this data directly.

For purchases made via the Apple App Store, billing and subscription management are handled directly by Apple, in accordance with their own terms and policies.

Information submitted for optional challenges:

  • Occasionally, we run transformation or progress-based challenges that are completely voluntary

  • If you choose to participate, you may submit progress photos, measurements, and written updates via Typeform or a similar form tool

  • These submissions are used to evaluate entries and celebrate transformations

  • At the time of submission, you may be asked to give permission for us to use your materials for marketing purposes (e.g. testimonials or social media). We will never publish your materials without your explicit consent

Account information stored outside the app:

We may store limited account-related information — such as your membership plan, signup date, and account status — using secure third-party systems that help us manage subscriptions and provide support.

We do not intentionally collect or process sensitive health information (such as medical diagnoses or conditions), and ask that you avoid submitting this type of information through our platform unless we explicitly request it.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Deliver and maintain your access to the Studio Era app

  • Recommend relevant (but still general) workout and meal plans

  • Track your subscription status and manage your account

  • Communicate with you via email and in-app messaging

  • Deliver optional challenges and member experiences

  • Respond to your support requests

  • Improve our services and offerings over time

We do not use your personal data to create health profiles or make medical assessments. All programs and recommendations are general in nature.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

Under the GDPR, we rely on different legal bases to process your personal data, depending on the context. These may include your consent (e.g. for marketing), contractual necessity (e.g. to deliver our service), and our legitimate interests (e.g. to improve user experience or support internal operations).

5. Challenge Submissions & Transformations

From time to time, Studio Era runs optional challenges to help motivate and celebrate your progress. These challenges are completely voluntary and not required to use the app or participate in the program.

If you choose to join a challenge:

  • You may be asked to submit progress photos, body measurements, and written updates through a form (such as Typeform)

  • This data is used solely to review your transformation, celebrate wins, and award prizes if applicable

  • At the time of submission, you may be asked for permission to use your transformation for marketing purposes — for example, to inspire others via testimonials, emails, or social media

  • We will never share your photos or transformation details publicly without your clear and direct consent at the time of submission

All challenge participation is optional, and choosing not to participate will not affect your membership or access to Studio Era features.

6. Cookies & Tracking Tools

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how people use our site and to improve your experience.

We may use tools such as:

  • Google Analytics – to analyze website traffic and behavior

  • Meta Pixel – to track how effective our ads are

  • Tag Manager – to manage how scripts and pixels are loaded on our site

These tools may collect information such as:

  • Your IP address

  • Pages you visited and how long you stayed

  • Your device type and browser

  • How you found our site (e.g. via an ad, email, or search)

Depending on your location, you may see a cookie consent banner when you first visit our site. This lets you accept or reject different types of cookies (for example: analytics, marketing, or only necessary cookies). You can also adjust your cookie settings at any time via your browser.

By continuing to use our site after seeing the banner (where applicable), you consent to the use of cookies as described above.

7. Data Storage & International Transfers

Some of the tools and services we use may store your personal data on servers located outside of your home country — including in the United States, Australia, or other jurisdictions where our technology partners operate.

This means your data may be processed in countries that have different privacy laws than your own. Wherever your data is stored or transferred, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in line with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

For example, we work only with third-party service providers who implement appropriate security measures and, where required, use standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards to comply with cross-border data regulations.

By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these jurisdictions.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live — particularly if you’re based in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California — you may have specific rights under data protection laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

These rights may include:

  • Access – Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

  • Correction – Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Deletion – Ask us to delete your personal data (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restriction – Limit how we use your data in certain situations

  • Data Portability – Request your data in a portable, common format

  • Objection – Object to our use of your data for certain purposes

  • Withdraw Consent – Withdraw any previously given consent

  • Lodge a Complaint – Contact a local data authority if you have concerns

To exercise any of these rights, email support@studioera.co and we’ll respond within 30 days.

9. Data Security

We take data security seriously and use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach that may affect your personal information, we’ll notify you promptly as required by law.

Please keep your login details secure and avoid sharing your account with others.

10. Children’s Privacy

Studio Era is intended for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal data through our services, please contact us at support@studioera.co, and we will take steps to remove the information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, tools, or legal obligations.

When we make changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we may notify you through email or via the app. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
